Product Description

With more than 5 million people suffering from Alzheimer's disease in the United States, a number that's expected to rise to 16 million by 2050, the pressure is on to find better methods of diagnosis, treatment and prevention.

Around the world, Alzheimer's disease is the second most feared disease, behind cancer, according to a recent survey of five countries conducted by the Harvard School of Public Health.

So far, no drug has been developed to significantly slow the progression of the disease in all patients. And there's no way to halt or reverse the decline of memory and other cognitive abilities once Alzheimer's has been diagnosed. Since attempts to help patients who already have symptoms in these ways have failed, scientists must look to the earliest stages of Alzheimer's in hopes of stopping it before it begins.

Studies presented at the conference reinforced the notion that signs of Alzheimer's may develop in the brain 10 to 20 years before any symptoms begin.

UCLA scientists and colleagues from UC Riverside and the Human BioMolecular Research Institute have found that a form of vitamin D, together with a chemical found in turmeric spice called curcumin, may help stimulate the immune system to clear the brain of amyloid beta, which forms the plaques considered the hallmark of Alzheimer's disease.

The early research findings, which appear in the July issue of the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease, may lead to new approaches in preventing and treating Alzheimer's by utilizing the property of vitamin D3 - a form of vitamin D - both alone and together with natural or synthetic curcumin to boost the immune system in protecting the brain against amyloid beta.

Vitamin D3 is an essential nutrient for bone and immune system health; its main source is sunshine, and it is synthesized through the skin. Deficiencies may occur during winter months or in those who spend a lot of time indoors, such as Alzheimer's patients.

A combination of vitamin D3 and curcumin, from turmeric, may boost the immune system, and help it clear the protein plaques linked to Alzheimer’s, says a new study.

The build-up of plaque from beta-amyloid deposits is associated with an increase in brain cell damage and death from oxidative stress. This is related to a loss of cognitive function and an increased risk of Alzheimer’s, the most common form of dementia and currently affects over 13 million people worldwide.

BCM-95 is 100% Natural Extract of Turmeric Rhizome standardized to blend of Curcuminoids Complex to maintain the Natural Spectrum and synergy of the turmeric rhizome.

Human clinical studies have proven that BCM-95 is several times more bioavailable and retains longer in blood than the commercially available Turmeric 95% Extracts.

Parkinson disease, a common as – yet incurable neurodegenerative disease affects 1.5% of global population over the age 65.

The tiniest fruits may pack a big punch against Parkinson’s – berries were associated with a decreased risk of the disease among those who ate the greatest amounts, according to an analysis of data from two large prospective cohort studies.

There is a strong inverse association between the greatest consumption of anthocyanins, or berry fruits, and a lower risk of Parkinson’s disease.

Unique Astrum Brain Formula combine three essential nutrients which scientifically proven to protect our brain from age – related diseases.
